GRAND ISLE, VT — Andrew Scott Keene, 61, passed away on January 30,
2026, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
Andrew was born on August 2, 1964, in Burlington, Vermont, the son of
John J. Keene and Roselyn Alice (Forrend) Keene. He graduated from
Essex High School in 1984 and proudly enlisted in the United States
Army shortly after graduation.
Throughout his life, Andy worked hard in a variety of roles, including
as a commercial pipe installer, store clerk, and custodian. He never
shied away from work and carried a strong sense of independence and
grit.
Andy had a personality that filled a room. His laugh was
unmistakable—loud, genuine, and able to carry across any space. If you
heard it, you knew Andy was nearby, laughing about something and
enjoying the moment. He loved camping, taking road trips, and spending
hours watching and listening to his favorite comedians, finding joy in
humor and simple pleasures.
Above all else, Andy loved his daughter, Victoria Keene, whom he
thought the world of. She was the pride of his life and his greatest
joy.
Andrew was predeceased by his parents, John and Roselyn Keene.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Victoria Keene, along with
friends and family who will miss his laugh, his stories, and the
presence he brought wherever he went.
Andy's services will be held at a later date.
Andy will be remembered for his big heart, his booming laugh, and the
way he found humor even on life's hardest days.
