Beverly Ann Simpson of Chateaugay, NY passed away on March 7, 2024 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT at the age of 87. Beverly was born on May 12, 1936 to William Solomon Whitmore and Sybil Aileen Whitmore. The love of her life was husband Edwin Simpson. Between the two of them they had eight children, 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Her favorite thing in life was being a mother and grandmother. She had a gift for making people feel loved and was known to many in the community as "Grandma Bev".

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as her brother Alger Whitmore, sister Alta McCormick, sons Donne Simpson and Edwin Simpson, daughter Dorothy Seaman, daughter in law Rhonda Bump, and great-granddaughter Chelsea Green. She is survived by children Jeanne Green (Clifford), Lisa Azzarone (Michael), William Bump, Darlene Mowers, and Michael Simpson (Stefani), daughter in law Brenda Simpson (Donne), along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.
