Edward Robert LaFond Jr., 74, of Milton, died peacefully Tuesday, May 11, 2021, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Burlington, on Nov. 8, 1946, the son of the late Edward LaFond Sr. and Dorothy (Peters) Hunter. Ed served in the Navy, then later the National Guard; he was also a musician/singer in the bands, Excalibur and Destiny and he was very proud of all of it. He worked many jobs throughout his life, but no matter the job, he put in his all, and worked his way up. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; their daughter, Nicole Bell, her husband, Stanley II, her daughter, Nora, and son, Travis all of Essex Junction; two older daughters, both of Wisconsin; two step-children; two other grand-daughters; four great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Lorraine Blanchette of Colchester, Dale LaFond of South Burlington, Linda Whalen of Essex Junction, Karen Walker and husband, Larry of Essex Junction, Robin Martin and husband, Randy of Cam- bridge, Betty Rainey of Arizona; three brothers, Ronald LaFond Sr. and wife, Paulette of Milton, Donald LaFond of Essex Junction, Richard LaFond of Colchester; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral, but there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date, to be determined. This man will be greatly missed in everyones lives. He was a be-loved brother, husband, Dad, Papa, uncle, and more.
