Jean Edward Boutin (Jean-O) born May 1st, 1962 passed away on July 3rd, 2023

while at work in South Burlington, VT. Jean was a master auto mechanic and

technical magician, able to fix all manner of issues from the bizarre to

the benign. He was a dedicated friend who used his mechanical talents and

problem solving abilities to help his friends and family whenever the need

arose. After graduating from the Assabet Valley Technical School automotive

program, Jean began work at Pleasant Street Garage in Marlboro, MA and

eventually took ownership of the garage, operating the business successfully

for many years. Jean loved to scuba dive for lobsters and scallops, was an

avid motorcycle rider and loved riding in the Laconia area of NH with his

friends, brothers, and sister. In 2021 he moved to Vermont to live with his

son, Robert, where he enjoyed many of Vermont's hiking trails, beaches, and

cuisine.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Samantha Boutin of Marlboro, MA and a son

and daughter-in-law, Robert and Michelle Boutin of Milton, VT. Jean is also

survived by his sister, JoAnn Sedam of Auburn, MA, his brother and

sister-in-law, Michael and Wendy Boutin of Au Sable Forks, NY, and brother

and sister-in-law, Matthew and Penny Boutin of Hubbardston, MA. Jean was the

son of the late Joseph and Lily Boutin of Hudson, MA and brother of the late

Mark Boutin of Marlboro, MA.

The family plans to invite family and friends to gather in the Marlboro, MA

area for a Celebration of Jean's life at a future date.
