Marquis Anthony Villa, born on October 11, 2006, in Burlington, VT, to Christie Villa and Jason Nolan, was tragically taken from us on January 15, 2025.
Marquis was a shining embodiment of hope and resilience. He was a bright light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was marked by compassion, strength, and a profound love for his dog, Hazel, and cat, Loki.
Marquis worked at Freedom Nissan while attending high school and was excited to graduate in June. He was an avid video game player and a passionate car enthusiast. He loved sports, music, hanging out, and making memories with his close family and friends.
His passing has left an unimaginable void in those who knew him.
Marquis is survived by his parents, Christie and Jason, and bonus family: his beloved sister Hailey and bonus sister Faithful; his nephew Adonis; and his Godson Ezra. He also leaves behind grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
"There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains" - Leigh Standley
A celebration of Marquis's life will be held on Saturday, February 1st, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Northgate community room, 275 Northgate Rd, Burlington, VT. This will be followed by a sunset candlelight vigil at the Burlington waterfront. Anyone who would like to honor Marquis's memory is welcome to attend.
