Melanie Lynn McMullen age 47, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at home with her family by her side.
She was born to Bruce and Nancy Kelley in Winooski, Vermont on August 14, 1973
Melanie married Charles Mark McMullen Jr. on February 4, 2000, and raised four beautiful daughters.
Melanie grew up as a military child, living in several states and Iceland throughout her fathers military career. She worked in management most of her life, she loved serving and helping people.
She was an animal lover, recently lost her beloved dogs Angel, Cam, Sassy and her cherished cat of 22 years Jazz.
Melanie always kept herself busy, lending a helping hand and heart to anyone in need. She loved playing cards, bingo, trips to the casino, crafting, karaoke, playing pool and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed summer days, swimming, gardening and being at camp on Lake Champlain and seeing the colors of fall in Vermont.
Along with her parents, Bruce and Nancy, she is survived by her husband Mark, who lovingly referred to her as his China Doll. Daughters; Krystal and son-in-law Ryan, Ashley, Chyann and fianc KJ, and Chasiti. She has four beautiful grandchildren, grandsons Christian and Keon, and granddaughters Ariyah and Alivia, Her sister Michelle, brother Michael and niece Mariah. She is also survived by her in-laws, Bob and Dee Nelson, sister-in-law Julie, Brother-in-law Christopher and wife Alberta, her nephew Coty, his wife Candice and son Caladin, brother-in-law Corey and sister-in-law Connie.
She is now joined with her grandparents; Robert and Irene Kelley, Leo and Yvonne Bissonnette, Her Aunt Leola and Uncle Gary Bissonnette, Uncle David Kelley, cousins David and Andrew Bissonnette, Father-in-Law Charles Mark McMullen Sr. Along with Many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Close friends.
We would like to thank the Hospice nurses, doctors and staff that gave Melanie special care while she was in Vermont and all the family and friends who supported her through her fight. She was always very humble and grateful for the care she received, as are we.
