Robert (Bob) Homer Barrows, 90, Winooski, VT

Robert (Bob) Homer Barrows, 90, of Winooski, VT, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at McClure Miller Respite House. He was born on July 20, 1935, in Leicester, VT, to Homer and Irene Barrows. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved deer hunting with his brother, Stan. Bob also enjoyed trips to casinos with his family and friends.

Bob spent over 50 years making his home with his life partner, Sandy Benoit. He was her caregiver until her passing in 2018. Their beloved dog, Casey, passed shortly thereafter.

Robert is survived by his devoted sister, Gladys Laura, who was by his side, assisting him with all his needs. He is also survived by four sons, a daughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was predeceased by his two sisters, Mildred Pidgeon and Beverly Guest, and by his brother, Stanley Barrows.

A graveside service will be held in the spring, where he will be laid to rest in the family plot. The family would like to thank the caregivers at McClure Miller Respite House and Bayada for all the special care he was given.
