Obituary

November 10, 1946 — April 23, 2026

Robert Louis Berry, a husband, father, and lifelong builder, passed away on April 23, 2026.

From an early age, Robert was drawn to building things with his hands. He spent his younger years working on hot rods, learning through patience, instinct, and experience. That same drive stayed with him throughout his life and carried into his work, where he built and operated his own carpet business. He took pride in what he created and in the work it took to sustain it.

Robert's life was not without its complexities. Like many, he experienced both strong seasons and difficult ones, and he faced them in his own way. Those who knew him understood that his life was shaped by both strength and struggle, and that neither tells the full story alone.

He was a devoted husband and father, and his presence remains a lasting part of the lives of those who knew and loved him.

He was the son of the late Louis Daniel Berry and Elsie Alean Berry. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda and Linda, and by his beloved wife, Helen Carol Berry.

He is survived by his sisters, Diane and Carol; children and grandchildren: Eric Berry (Justin Berry), Wanda Giroux (Jody, Jonathan, Joseph, Jason), and Robin Gill (James, Amanda, Tana); and numerous great-grandchildren he loved dearly.

James Dean once said,

"If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, if he can live on after he's gone, then maybe he was a great man."

Those who loved Robert take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Helen Carol, together again in peace.

Robert is remembered in the work he built, the life he lived, and the family he loved.
