Rona Graham Berry, 79, of Burlington, Vermont, passed away on May 13. 2026 in Burlington, Vermont.
Rona was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Ronald and Elizabeth (Betty) Graham in 1947. She moved to Boston in the 1960's to be near her older sister Ann Graham and her brother-in-law Barry Flanagan and helped care for her 3 nieces Dona, Natalie, and Aisling and her nephew Graham. She married George Berry in Marblehead, Massachusetts, where she lived happily for many years with her stepsons Peter, Jeff, David and Nathaniel Berry and her dear daughter Rachel. She worked in sales for several years, and her favorite job was at Irwin's Toystore in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
She lived for many years in the Burlington Vermont area, where she moved to be near to her daughter Rachel Berry and her granddaughters, Clara and Amelia and it brought her immense joy to watch them grow up being a proud grandmother. Her favorite hobbies were knitting and calligraphy at one point which resulted in her developing amazing and artistic handwriting skills. She had the Celtic gift of the gab and could strike up a meaningful conversation with anyone she met, and had a lifelong love of wearing her beautiful brunette hair very straight and long. She enjoyed spreading affection, had a wonderful sense of humor, and made friends easily wherever she went.
Rona was preceded in death by her husband George Berry, her stepson David Berry, her daughter Rachel, her sisters Ann and Ailsa, her parents Ronald and Elizabeth, and her nieces Dona and Rona. Rona is survived by her granddaughters Clara and Amelia, and her nieces Natalie, Aisling, and her nephews Graham and Colin. And stepsons Peter, Jeff, and Nathaniel Berry. Burial will be private for the family at Holy Family Church in Essex.
