Stuart Hackley passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2020 at the far too young age of 30. Most recently residing in Burlington Vermont, he was raised in Colorado and spent much of his early adulthood traveling; spending time studying and working in Scotland, China and Germany. His academic accomplishments were significant. He received his BA in History at Colorado College and his Masters at UVM. He was also a Fulbright award winner and attended the University of Edinburgh, CU Denver, and Middlebury College. He took great pride in his role in society as a historian and storyteller. He touched the lives of many in wonderful ways. We are especially proud of his place in the world as a kind, witty and compassionate human being. He was a remarkable person and we will always be heartbroken. The world is a lesser place without him. Stuart is survived by his parents, Sandra and Lex Hackley of Conifer, Colorado.
